I HAVE A WALL MOUNTED LED TV IN MY KITCHEN WITH NO PLACE TO PUT A BULKY CABLE BOX FROM VERIZON. INSTEAD OF RUNNING THE CABLE BOX INTO MY KITCHEN ISLAND CABINET AND TAKING UP SPACE I DECIDED TO RUN THE LINES TO THE BASEMENT. NOW THE PROBLEM WAS HOW TO GET THE IR SIGNAL DOWN TO THE BASEMENT. MY CABLE BOX DOES NOT SUPPORT IR-EXTENDERS. THANK GOD I CAME UPON THIS PRODUCT. I FIGURED I WOULD JUST PLUG IN THE SAUCER LEAVE IT ON THE TABLE UNDER THE TV IN THE KITCHEN AND RUN THE EYE-WIRE BACK DOWN TO THE CABLE BOX. WHEN THE ITEM ARRIVED I DECIDED TO SEE IF BY CHANCE THE SAUCER COULD RECEIVE THE RF SIGNAL THROUGH THE THICK FLOOR ABOVE. SURE ENOUGH NO PROBLEM! WITH NO LAG TIME. NOW I CAN LEAVE THE SAUCER ON THE CABLE BOX AND TRANSMIT FROM UPSTAIRS. BRILLIANT!!! GREAT PRODUCT.

Like many of the reviewers, I had to mount my TV on the wall and place the cable box and Blu-ray player out of the line of sight for the remote. After reviewing a lot of the positive reviews on Amazon, I decided to get this unit. Setup was easy - you charge both batteries/RF transmitters in the base station over 24-36 hours, then replace one of your remote control's batteries with a transmitter. The transmitters include adaptors for both AAA and AA batteries. Just hook up the emitter eye to your cable box with the included adhesive, and it works just fine. I have a Motorola Comcast HD DVR, and had no problem getting the remote to work on the first try. This is about as simple as you can get for setup, and it just works out of the box. Electronics don't get any better than that. I don't know yet how long the battery/transmitter will last (just had it a couple days), but for the price, this purchase was totally worth it.

I was hesitant on ordering this... I have a pioneer receiver in my basement controlling the outdoor speakers, bought this put the rechargeable battery in my remote (it holds 2 AA so now one is the special battery this comes with and the other is a normal AA battery) and it works EXACTLY like I'm facing the unit...

I cannot understand how this could work but at around 100 foot away, threw my basement walls, (and the dirt around the basement) it works perfectly, fast and accurate even while I was trying to hide the remote so i would not work.... it works so good I was laughing.... its really amazing... now I can control my radio from my pool side...

Amazing Product, followed the instructions and charged the battery for about a day and a half, pointed the base at the Comcast HD box in the basement and installed the battery/transmitter in the remote and worked perfectly the first time. Great solution to create the ultimate clean look for the TV in the bedroom.

I plugged it in, it worked perfectly, and I LOVE it! This thing has zero lag time and just plain works. After getting spoiled by my PS3 RF remote, I knew I had to duplicate this experience with my DVR and other components. I use this with my DVR universal remote and it works great.
