not worth the money! 1 out of 5
I bought this game for $20 dollars, poped it in, and was really hoping for some great changes to the game. Let me tell you I was disappointed. First off, the ep adds a very smally amount of new items clothes. it is extremely hard to even establish a business, and even harder to make it sucessful. Overall a waste of money. If you can figure it out, you can have businesses downtown, but you would need a good computer just to load it every day that you go to work. Honestly its like have a job, except you have to so much work, that you forget to let your sims live, and you lose a ton of money. Trust me save your money, unless its under 2 dollars buy something else. Honestly i have used the business feature once, and i have used 2 items from it.
Well Worth it! 5 out of 5
For the technical aspects of my machine: I am operating Windows XP. I'm on a 5-year-old 32 bit Sony Viao Laptop.... aka: not-so-hot video card.
This is a neat expansion pack that lets your sims purchase community lots and turn them into profit-- or lack thereof. When you get bored of romancing around the house and building your skills, you can take time out from your life to run a business.
A word about CC: I download A LOT of custom content from modthesims2 and other common places. This EP seems to work with all of my stuff and doesn't blow up my game. A word of caution though-- if you have custom content downloaded, check to see if your custom content needs to be updated before installing this. It's fun, it adds another dimension to the game, it's also challenging.
very enjoyable 5 out of 5
I recently purchased this item for my fiance for our 2 year anniversary and she LOVES it. This game is a wonderful expansion pack. If you want your sim character to enjoy their job, this expansion pack is for you.
One of my favorite expansion packs! 5 out of 5
First of all, this is an expansion pack for "The Sims 2," and you have to have "The Sims 2" in order to play this game. Anyway, this game now allows you to open a business. There are two ways to do so. First, you can open a home business in which you sell things from your home (or turn your home into a nightclub which is always fun). You can also buy a lot (such as a bakery, bookstore, clothing store, nightclub, etc.)and hire employees, sell things, and more to increase you business ranking. The higher you get your ranking the more "perks" you get. "Perks" are little things that help your business such as letting you understand customers better or letting you buy things cheaper. The following are the pros and cons about the game:
THE GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME:
1.You can have a job that you can actually go to, as you become the manager when you open up a store.
2.You really feel like an entrepreneur while owning a business.
3.You can select from a wide variety of businesses to own.
4.You have the option to have a home business.
5.A few new items come with this game as does some new clothing.
6.If you make a successful business you can make some good money.
THE BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME:
1.It can be hard to make money when you first start a business off.
2.Some may get frustrated with all that is required to start a business.
There are only a couple of cons, and I don't mind them as I find that they make the game a challenge. Just be warned that if you buy this game, you will probably have to invest quite a bit of time and money into the business you want to create. Other reviewers have mentioned bugs in this game, but I didn't notice any at all. Overall, I recommend to people who enjoy the thought of having their own business, but you need to be prepared to work for it. It's a really great addition, I think, and I would recommend for $20 or less.

It was an interesting expansion pack for The Sims 2 game. Haven't really had a chance to play it though since I installed it.
